DG Performance Six Pack Rack.

Stock bumper offers little to no
protection.

The 700R now looks like she ready for
some serious riding. |
The Alloy Series Six Pack Rack replaces the
stock grab bar and gives riders a place for
cargo. The rack will neatly accommodate a small
cooler or, of course, a six pack. Installation
was quite easy and the rack helps to transform
the sporty Raptor into a purpose-driven trail
bike.
Fat Series – Grab Bar
(Black) and VPro Front Bumper (Black)
DG, also, provided - for my optional
installation - the
Fat Series (Black) Grab Bar.
The Fat Series features a larger diameter tube
than other versions, giving the series a hardy,
robust appearance. I choose the Six Pack Rack
because of its ability to carry cargo. However,
the installation of both is performed in the
exact same manner. Anytime that I wish to
switch, all I need to do is simply remove a few
bolts and exchange. A word of caution - since
the mounting bolts are located near the exhaust
pipe, make sure that it has adequately cooled!
Looking at the stock front bumper of the
Raptor 700, you may wonder what it is actually
intended to protect. Even a minor collision
would likely miss the bumper, because of its
small size. With the DG Performance’s Fat Series
VPro Front Bumper (Black), the style and
usefulness of the bumper on the Raptor are
improved. Exceptionally easy to
install, it was just a matter of a few bolts to
install.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I am pleased with DG Performance’s
products. They are stylish and efficiently
perform their intended purpose. The quality of
the workmanship is visibly apparent in each
piece. I expect that people purchasing DG
Performance products will be happy with the
added longevity the pieces will add to machine
life, their functionality, and the overall
durability of the product. Although the
installation was mostly straight-forward and
easy, I would have like to have seen more
descriptive, illustrative instructions. In the
case of installing the nerf bars, it was unclear
where to mount the center union that connected
left nerf bar to the right. However, DG
graciously helped us out, and we were on our
way! So, if you’re going to add some performance
products to your quad, they might as well come
from DG Performance.
