Video Review – H-Bomb
Film’s Poetry in Motion – the Ryan Bemis Story
Do what you love! That’s the best career
advice that I’ve ever received. When you love
what you do, it just doesn’t seem like work. For
Ryan Bemis, his story as a Pro Freestyle Rider
is rooted in his passion of catching big air on
his ATV. After Ryan’s dad found a few pictures
of him performing some, modest as they say,
75-foot jumps as a youngster and a few calls to
Wes Miller, owner and producer of H-Bomb Films,
Ryan was invited to join the acrobatic,
freestyle ATV team–the Bomb Squad.
H-Bomb Film’s Poetry in Motion–the Ryan Bemis
Story is a cinematographic chronicle of Ryan’s
journey. Filled with anecdotal comments from
family and friends, the film highlights the
career trials and tribulations of Ryan from the
early days as a kid to the present when he is at
the top of his game. Produced by Wes Miller,
director of the award-winning H-Bomb Films, fans
will get a behind-the-scenes look at Ryan
through never-before-seen personal and Huevos
series footage.
Viewers of Poetry in Motion will get to see
Ryan behind the seat of a dragster, kickin’ it
on a 50cc pit bike, riding in the snow, relaxing
on the lake while wakeboarding, performing at
shows, and filming for the Huevos series. The
film also highlights Ryan’s relationship with
fellow Bomb Squad member, Sheldon Riggs. Sheldon
discusses the results of practicing for the once
unthinkable ATV back flip and the unfortunate
consequences of his first attempt outside of the
foam pit. Both Sheldon and Ryan combine to push
each other to the extreme, even through injuries
and sickness.
After watching the film, it is obvious that
Ryan’s family contributed to his success as a
Pro-Freestyle Rider. With his mom, dad, brother,
and sister in his corner, Ryan can endure life
on the road with the Bomb Squad, travel
hardships, pranks, and other zany adventures–all
showcased in the film. One segment looks at Ryan
and members of the Bomb Squad performing their
sky-high leaps at Danimals, a favorite place of
the Squad.
Bonus scenes showcase Ryan on a three-wheeler
and Wes’s early morning wake-up call on the Bomb
Squad. Choreographed with funky, hip-hop sounds
and awe-inspiring graphic, digital quality–
Poetry in Motion delivers non-stop action and
will be a sure hit with fans of the Huevos
Series– continuing Wes Miller’s tradition of
providing high-quality ATV filming at its best.
See Ryan working at what he loves. Check out
