"The Racer's Awards
Night”
With almost 350 racers and fans in
attendance, the 2008 IXCR season came to the
official end with the year end banquet. People
started piling through the door about 4:30 with
the festivities starting a short time later.
With over 135 racers qualifying the banquet
had lots of laughs, cheers, sponsor plugs and
even some tears. First up was IXCR’s youth
racers. With a talented group of kids the names
included such racers as Charlie Welch, Sadie
Welch, Gage Sproles, Matthew Harris and Cole
Setser to just mention a few. Trying something
different, IXCR awarded all the class champions
custom made jerseys that feature the IXCR logo,
sponsor logos and the champions name with a
“Big” number one on the back highlighting their
hard work. Along with the normal class
awards from all the classes IXCR awarded some
special awards for a variety categories.

Friendliest Racer - Jeff Mote
Funniest Racer - Austin Witt
Best Supporting Person - Ty Merriman
Youth Racer of the Year - Cole Setser
Bike Racer of the Year - Derrik Allen
ATV Racer of the Year - Matt Sillery
Staff Member of the Year - Jim Cobb
Most Improved Racer - Justin Kirchoff
Hard Luck Award - Charlie Rose
Sportsman of the Year - Dave Johnson
With all the awards, swag, products and props
given out, IXCR announced 2009 rule changes, new
classes and new sponsors which included the 2009
Presenting Sponsor On Target Polaris.
IXCR wants to thank its 2008 series and
banquet sponsors. Without these companies IXCR
