CYPRESS, Calif. – June 6, 2008 – Yamaha’s Big Bear 250 gives riders control with a five-speed semi-automatic transmission – the base of the Big Bear’s appeal allowing riders to choose the proper gear without a clutch.  This machine also includes rider-friendly features like reverse and push-button electric start, which quickly powers up the 230cc air-cooled four-stroke engine.

The Big Bear 250’s comfortable, light and nimble package includes rear suspension that can be adjusted to accommodate work or leisure riding.  Full fenders and floorboards offer added comfort and keep debris off of the rider, and dual hydraulic disc brakes up front and fully sealed drum brakes in the rear provide ample stopping power.

This Yamaha ATV is right at home on a ranch, farm or anywhere it can be put to work.  With steel racks capable of carrying 66 pounds up front and 99 pounds on the rear, this machine can easily haul feed bags, tool boxes and more, while the center mounted receiver hitch can tow an additional 700 pounds.

The 2009 Big Bear 250, with an MSPR of $3,599, is available in traditional Hunter Green and a new Metallic Black color at Yamaha dealerships nationwide in August 2008.
